Plot Summary
As a child, Emerald Wren’s grandfather gives her a magic lamp and a promise that she will change the world. As an adult, she is working as a waitress by day and leading a crime fighting coven of witches by night.
When the time comes to live up to her promise, things get dangerous.
A murderous man on a mission is hunting down a mysterious prophecy girl and leaving the burned bodies of women in his wake. Emerald and her friends set out to find her and save her. But who will get there first?
Book Review
When I started this book, I knew it’s going to be different and filled with twists and turns but never thought this would turn so amazing. I am a reader who loves a blend of different genres and elements and the author is so good at blending in themes that felt like magic.
Emerald is such a wonderful character, so unique and witty at times. I loved her dialog. I really loved how the entire story was so engaging, there were times when I didn’t feel like taking a break, haha!
I also loved how it’s a book filled with magic, fantasy and mystery but there is no unnecessary dragging of scenarios, also no exaggeration of which I really admire and I feel this book has everything I have been looking for in a good book, it’s a good way to escape into Emerald’s world and she her fight her battles!

The writing is simple yet very gripping and I must say the author is such an amazing storyteller. I definitely enjoyed it and I will highly recommend it to all avid readers.
